Ahh.. here I am! I’ve been having trouble with my passwords, but then I read this from Polybius regarding how the Roman Military set their pass or watchwords each night and now I can see what the trouble is… I have no ‘maniples!’
‘…The way in which they secure the passing round of the watchword for the night is as follows: from the tenth…[Read more]

In reply to: Tony Atkinson posted an update: here is the report i sent to the gazette. it would be good if people could add to this in terms of the contestants and anything else they feel should be included. that way we may […] ViewHi Tony, this is great. Thank you for fulfilling your role as ‘outgoing Bard’ (incoming Elder Bard alert – everybody duck!) so thoroughly. My only comment is a request to take out the line ‘clean sweep for the ladies.’ See, if the winners had been all male, no one would have mentioned it in the same way – ‘Good Lord – it was a clean sweep…[Read more]

Perfect tomfoolery – it has the comedy and wisdom of the fool. The journey around the globe from culture to culture made me shiver, forming a magical interconnectedness of the imagination. Your threads are both informative and surreal, but insanely logical – and it’s funny – wish I’d seen the performance of it! Fab.

My four things in Virgo have gone into ‘table-bliss’ meltdown; my solar Libran self loves the balance of Ostara and Mabon; neptune in Scorpio just finds this so damn sexy. I won’t’ go round the entire wheel, suffice it to say that – information presented like this should carry a bardic bliss warning.

LOL. I know, it’s so damn naughty – it’s amazing what banging a few words together can do.
I love it that you and Wes have picked up on those lines, they’re like the little bits of poetic gold in the doggerel comedy of it… so once again ‘phew!’ Hope you *are* writing – [...] -

*phew* You got ‘pallusy/fallacy’ right, so you’re not drawing blanks, and better still -I’m not firing them either. *g* One relief of Succellus and Nantosuelta has him with his big hammer and olla/barrel and her with her hive, and raven and her ‘patera’ which is suspended above, what is politely termed, ‘a column-shaped altar.’ I [...]

Absolutely, and, to misquote President Obama, ‘Yes You Are!’ (Don’t know if it helps to ‘hear’ his manly delivery
) And in the end, that process of ‘am I good enough’ is an internal, part spiritual one (and it’s evident you know this already.) I find it helpful that you are addressing these issues [...] -

Aww, thanks Kali. That particular line was hanging around, resolutely ignored, for about ten years, before I gave in and put it where it wanted to be. Glad I did.

Here’s my tongue-in-cheek response to Wes ‘ ‘ Sucellus’ which made me wonder what it would be like to be Sucellus’ partner, Nantosuelta. Sooo… A Celtic God and Goddess go on a first date – Nantosuelta When Sucellus first came to me, a mighty hammer hefted he “Your symbol is a pallusy” I quipped, “unless you wield it [...]

Have to say that my first thought when I read this was ‘All Hail The Bard!’ followed by ‘Welcome home’. It’s beautiful, Kali.

LOL. That mole is priceless and is actually the 19th incarnation of a Rinpoche in a Bardic Bardo which Wes is exclusively channelling. Thanks for the feedback.

They’re not called ‘Trials’ for nothing. Coming to Glastonbury, so many who are ‘seeking’ (and who isn’t?) go through unexpected personal trials and challenges. You look shiny for six months, full of ideas and energy and wrecked for a further twelve. Suddenly, you are hurtling along on the journey of the fool – right out on the Edge. …[Read more]
